Presságio is a dramatic movie directed by Alex Proyas. This movie stars Nicolas Cage as the protagonist, Rose Byrne, Chandler Canterbury, Lara Robinson and Ben Mendelson.
The story is this: Fifty years ago, some children from a new school wrote what they thought about the future. Some of them painted robots and flying cars, but one girl wrote a lot of numbers. Then the school buried a “time capsule” with this pieces of paper in it.
Fifty years later, this school opened this capsule and gave each piece of paper to each child from that school. Caleb got the paper with the numbers. He didn’t like this because every other children got a draw. Then his father discovered that there was dates and locations for tragedies that happened at that fifty years. Three tragedies still had not happened: one of them was the world’s end. So he tried to protect his family from that tragedies, and discovered that Caleb could do the same things that the girls did fifty years ago. Caleb was a special child and some strange people was trying to talk to him, but he was very afraid of them and his father too. In the end of the movie, Caleb and one friend are transported to another world with a lot of other children from all around the world to start a new civilization, since the Earth would be destroyed by a solar flare.
In my opinion, Presságio is a good movie and very interesting. I just didn’t like one part of the movie: the end. Because everybody in Earth dies and I think many people won’t like it too.
